NEW YEAR, NEW CHALLENGES
Sorry for the caps, but this is an important post - for #Greeneralia (& hopefully the planet!)
My aim is to reach those planet-dwellers so far untouched by efforts to slow down climate change: perhaps an 'intellectual proletariat'?
So far, the aware are preaching mostly to the aware? To succeed, we need to reach those still unaware of the extent of the problem.
Seeking ideas on building a global network...we tell 10, 5 of those tell another 10, etc etc?

I have been experimenting with #GoogleBard and am frankly impressed with the results.
I thought it might help provide ideas for #Greeneralia activity. Although it has not provided any new ideas as such, what it has done is present them in a logical framework which I could then refine.

I'm delighted to discover that #ManAndTheEarth by #PatrickDuncan (1975), was reprinted in 2015 & is still in print. I have sent off for a copy & will review for '#Greeneralia' in due course.
His 'Geism' was understood to be introducing a philosophical element into the ecological movement. But seen from 2023, his primary insight was about uniting #Global South/North to act in time to #saveplanetearth.

Yes, quite.
And when Superman fails to materialise, the same people expect the UN or successive COPs to wave a magic wand and save our planet.
But that is like expecting generals to win wars. They don't.
International strategy is important, but in the end, our national leaders go back to their houses, and it is left to every Tom, Dick and Harriet the world over to get the job done.
