In late 1946 the first #DeadSeaScrolls, including the #GreatIsaiahScroll, were found by #Bedouin shepherds at #Qumran in Palestine. These changed hands a few times before attracting interest from archaeologists. On #ThisDayInHistory in 1949 the first professional team began work.
