Grand Prismatic Spring in Yellowstone national park, Wyoming, is the largest hot spring in the US at more than 300ft wide at its widest point and over 120ft deep. The colours outside the pool’s blue centre are created by ‘#thermophiles’ – heat-loving microscopic organisms that flourish in many of Yellowstone’s hot springs.

One of wonders of the natural world, Yellowstone National Park should be on everyone's bucket place to visit. Every day was a wonder. The textures and colors imparted a feeling of wonder as if you are in another alien world.

The Midway Geyser Basin in #YellowstoneNationalPark has a special place in my heart. The #GrandPrismaticSpring is its most famous feature, but the other hot springs there are equally impressive, such as the Turquoise Pool. Heavy clouds dulled its turquoise the day I made this photo, but the colors are still impressive.
