#GoingInfinite - So, Lena Dunham is writing the Sam Bankman-Fried movie being developed by A24 and Apple Studios. No doubt, there's going to be a lot of competition bringing this story to screen first. However, this film is a direct adaptation of Michael Lewis's book “Going Infinite: The Rise and Fall of a New Tycoon,” following a competitive bidding war last year.

Recently listened through #MichaelLewis's #GoingInfinite in pretty much one sitting while driving cross country.

As someone with a passing interest in cryptocurrencies, effective altruism and probabilistic thinking, it was pretty crazy to hear what happens when it's all turned up to 11.

A bit conflicted about how mental health is mentioned but not directly addressed in the book. It was probably responsible to not armchair diagnose, but it was a big piece of the puzzle to leave out.

Finished and really liked #MichaelLewis 's recent book #GoingInfinite about #SBF and the #FTX firm through it's end. Surreal how all this transpired, how fragile the company was, and the lack of controls for the business. Lewis had good timing to see all this happen.

Good Morning, all

It must be such a godsend for a biographer to have a subject and their lover who communicate their feelings (or lack thereof), concerns, doubts and motivations to each other via written office memoranda.

Reading #GoingInfinite, Michael Lewis's book about Sam Bankman-Fried. Two chapters in and realizing that the way I feel about Magic: the Gathering (that it is a nearly unfathomable waste of time*) is how Sam feels about literature, art, the humanities, human expression, and other people. It sounds horrible.

I'm not sure you can put this guy in jail. He's already there.

* huge respect for many friends who love it; the most glorious thing about games is how deeply subjective enjoying them is

I joined Michael Lewis on his podcast back in May, and found him generally skeptical of both cryptocurrencies and the industry. We didn't talk much about FTX specifically, which is perhaps why I left that conversation hopeful about this book.

If Sam Bankman-Fried is convicted in the upcoming FTX fraud trial, Lewis’s admiring biography will take an awkward place on the shelves of history.

I've reviewed Michael Lewis's book Going Infinite, which just published today as Sam Bankman-Fried's trial kicks off. Ultimately, it's a story of the FTX collapse that never meaningfully changed from the hero story Lewis originally set out to write.
