A ★★★½ review of Man and Witch: The Dance of a Thousand Steps (2024)
I fell in love with this movie slowly, and in parallel with the love story that unfolds on screen. The plot is not in a rush, and gently lifts you up on the cloud of its quiet charm. The smart script deftly lays breadcrumbs and impressively converges all paths by the end. It's very funny, and though some of the humor is perhaps too deadpan to hit as hard as you'd like, other moments will come up behind and surprise you.
