Me voici arrivé à Chypre, une île divisée en deux depuis 1974 et séparée par une ligne verte sous contrôle de l'ONU. Cette situation a donné naissance à quelques villes fantômes, dont le quartier de Varócha, dans la ville de Famagouste. Déambuler dans ces rues abandonnées depuis 50 ans procure une sensation étrange qui laisse entrevoir la reprise de la nature sur les territoires urbanisés.

Here I am in Cyprus, an island divided into two since 1974 and separated by a green line under the UN control. This situation gave birth to a few ghost cities, including the Varócha district, in the city of Famagouste. Walking in these abandoned streets for 50 years provides a strange feeling which suggests the resumption of nature in the urbanized territories.
