It's the last day of the 28-day #GetHiredChallenge. A little bittersweet as we wrap things ups talking about pivoting in #Cybersecurity careers. This has been a fun series to make, I hope you found it helpful.
@foosedev it's called gatekeeping and it's a lie. Speaking as a hiring manager who has hired people in to cybersecurity roles who had zero tech experience on their resume, I can confirm this.
In fact in this episode of the #GetHiredChallenge I actually addressed this gatekeeping directly. Can tech experience be helpful in finding and succeeding in that first job? Yes. Is it required? No.
