Introducing Gephi Lite v1.0 ๐ŸŽ‰

The summer has been quite busy, and we are very thrilled to announce the release of Gephi Lite v1.0! This marks for us the first version of Gephi Lite we are really proud about. You can play with iโ€ฆ

Please welcome Gephi Lite v0.5!
๐Ÿ‘‰ https://gephi.org/gephi-lite/

Developed by the @ouestware team, this new version focuses on enhancing User Experience. We felt like we need to polish what we have before moving on more ambitious changes.

But the magic of the Gephi week happened, and we ended up testing adding the `Connected Closeness` metric designed by @jacomyma!
๐Ÿšง It's still experimental and might change soon.

Gephi Lite

A lighter, web-based spin-off of Gephi

It's #ResearchSupportPartnershipUiO #Wednesday again! I sneak-started yesterday by presenting @Gephi and #GephiLite during the Department of Archeology, Conservation and History's #DigitalMeetup. For participants to get started, I used the datasets provided by @proghist lesson Exploring and Analysing Network data with Python https://programminghistorian.org/en/lessons/exploring-and-analyzing-network-data-with-python and then showed basic functionality & visualization possibilities in #Gephi.
Let's see what else is coming in today!
Exploring and Analyzing Network Data with Python | Programming Historian

#Monday is when you eat what you promised on #Friday... Due to scheduling conflicts, I had to postpone my visit to the National Library of Norway to next week and suddenly got an **entire** day free of meetings and bookings! Which I will use to prepare a mini show-and-tell session about #HistoricalNetworkAnalysis #HNA using @Gephi and #GephiLite tomorrow and continue working on my #Translation project w/ @tadirah #TaDiRAH #TaDiFAH into Norwegian bokmรฅl and nynorsk.
๐Ÿงต 2/ #ResearchSupportPartnershipUiO The story continues: I talked w/ a researcher who wants to do historical network analysis. HNA has always interested me, and I am happy to suggest some workflows and tools. I would like to see more people at #UniversityOfOslo use #Gephi or #GephiLite and the #DigitalScholarshipCenter at the #Library organising workshops and guidance. Perhaps I will get a chance to continue my work on the #InnsbruckEasterplay from 1392 using #NetworkAnalysis!
