On Thursday @jacomyal and I will present Gephi Lite the web lighter version of @Gephi.

You can with Gephi Lite do visual network analysis directly in your web browser. By default no server is used: your data does not travel the cloud. Using it is as simple as opening this url: https://gephi.org/gephi-lite/

You can design your network visualisation by curating the appearance (node/edge colour, size, labels), filter your network, run layout algorithms or add new metrics.

It's also possible to embed it in existing web application using a Broadcast Channel browser API. Integrating visual network analysing in your research app is now quite simple.

A nice and well-annotated network visualization, it's not so often! So I'm sharing it here.

I'm thinking of my students whom I force to annotate every single visualization they deliver.

La sortie Gephi Lite v0.6

Un sprint productif avec des gros morceaux dedans

I'm biased I know but I'm going to call it, the winner of the best @Gephi chart of #aoir24 could well be this one from @snurb, @flxvctr and team which examines link sharing behaviours surrounding Australian news sources on Facebook. Fascinating findings here, particularly interesting seeing @ABC at the centre of this map, my interpretation here is that it suggests ABC fulfilling its obligations under its charter as a key non-partisan news outlet. Interesting finding also for @theconversationau

Please welcome Gephi Lite v0.5!

Developed by the @ouestware team, this new version focuses on enhancing User Experience. We felt like we need to polish what we have before moving on more ambitious changes.

But the magic of the Gephi week happened, and we ended up testing adding the `Connected Closeness` metric designed by @jacomyma!
🚧 It's still experimental and might change soon.

Gephi Lite

A lighter, web-based spin-off of Gephi

As usual with #DraCor, you can use the data out-of-the-box for co-occurrence network analysis, very suitable for teaching. #DigitalHumanities

This is the graph for Schlegel/Tieck's translation of Shakespeare's "Henry VI, Part 1" (using @Gephi to visualise our GEXF data).

DraCor – Drama Corpora Project

DraCor is not a website. DraCor is a showcase for the concept of Programmable Corpora. It revolves around an API that provides data extracted from TEI-encoded corpora. This website – dracor.org – uses this API to showcase some of the extractable information. Some data can be downloaded through the web interface. The more powerful, direct access point is the documented API.
