The more I work with my Linnstrument 128, and the more I read the manual in depth, the more I'm convinced that the Linnstrument is the most thoroughly thought-out instrument ever designed. It's funny when I think there's something I wish it would/could do, only to either ask or spend a little more time with the manual and discover that it already does that.

Just got my bumpy Linnstrument surface from Sound Workshop, installed it on my 128 without breaking anything, followed Roger Linn's instructions to get everything tensioned just right and my oh my this just changes everything. It plays SO BEAUTIFULLY. The black version looks sexy, but for $85, this update is killer bang for the buck. Can't wait to play with this for a few zillion hours.

Geeking out over MPE: #MultidimensionalPolyphonicExpression. Getting exceedingly interested in the work #GeertBevin has done. It's as though he heard my pleas, over the years. Funny thing is, there's a big difference between guitar players like him and wind instrument players like me. Especially on phrasing.
