To be so merciless, cruel, callous and single minded in a campaign to kill hundreds and hundreds of innocent people.

The Nazis inflicted an inhumane punishment on all those they considered to be less than human.

Israel has learnt the wrong lesson.

The Guardian on Instagram: "An estimated 500,000 people gathered in Tel Aviv on Sunday to call for an end to Israel’s war in Gaza and the release of hostages in one of the largest protests in Israel since fighting began in October 2023. The rally on Sunday evening was the culmination of a day of nationwide protests and a general strike to pressure the government to halt the military campaign. The Hostages and Missing Families Forum campaign group vowed protesters would “shut down the country”, with the goal of bringing back the hostages and ending the war. “We demand a comprehensive and achievable agreement and an end to the war,” said Einav Zangauker, a leading figure of the protest movement whose son Matan is being held by Hamas in Gaza. The protests came more than a week after Israel’s security cabinet approved plans to capture Gaza City, 22 months into a war that has created a dire humanitarian crisis in the Palestinian territory. Israel’s military offensive has killed at least 61,000 Palestinians, according to Gaza’s health ministry, most of them civilians. The figure does not include the thousands believed to be buried under rubble or the thousands killed indirectly as a consequence of the war. The Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, criticised the protesters, saying their actions “not only harden Hamas’s position and draw out the release of our hostages”, but also ensured that “the horrors of 7 October” would reoccur. Benjamin Netanyahu. WE SEE YOU. History will judge you and the Israel you have constructed. Shame on you and your ministers. Shame in you and your military. Shame on you and your citizens who believe your lies. #famineagaza #IsraelTerroristState #IsraelWarCrimes #StopIsrael #gazagenocide #GazaDeaths

Around 64,000 people have died in Gaza from traumatic injuries during Israel's assault, around 3% of the population. That figure doesn't include deaths caused by the war from starvation, cold, infection, or those buried in rubble.

Gaza death toll 40% higher than official number, Lancet study finds

Analysis estimates death toll by end of June was 64,260, with 59% being women, children and people over 65

Like if you don't show the death toll, burnt children, dismantled bodies or blown up schools will vanish in the same time : obnoxious !

62 Democrats Join 207 Republicans in Vote to Conceal Gaza Death Toll

Democratic leaders did not tell members to vote against an amendment to block the State Department from citing the Gaza Health Ministry’s statistics.

“This is genocide denial,” said Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., the only Palestinian member of Congress as she took to the floor to make a similar argument.
...
“It’s despicable but not shocking that 62 Democrats joined Republicans to refute the Gaza death toll,” one Democratic staffer told The Intercept. “Democratic leadership should be ashamed for refusing to take a stand and call out the blatant anti-Palestinian racism and genocide denial in our party.”

"Biden works to create plausible deniability as he backs Israel’s assault on Gaza...the Biden administration is becoming increasingly uncomfortable. It can’t be stressed enough that what we have in the south of Gaza now is an intense concentration of people so densely packed in that it would be impossible to launch even the most careful military operation without enormous civilian casualties. That’s true, of course. There’s nowhere for them to go"

Israel’s assault on Gaza has recommenced and the United States has remained steadfast in its backing. But there are signs the Biden administration is becoming increasingly uncomfortable.

Staggering disparity in deaths. Simple yet effective graphics depicting 36 Israeli children killed by Hamas, and 3,542 Palestinian children killed in Gaza as of Oct 31 (using UN data: https://ochaopt.org/content/hostilities-gaza-strip-and-israel-flash-update-25). #GazaDeaths #Gaza
