From 99¢ mildly amusing to wildly classy and spendy collectibles the Gay Dolphin has it all in a maximalist floor plan that’s a must see. Someone I love just sent me this picture and I can’t stop smiling. The Gay Dolphin in MBSC is the “world’s largest gift shop” with tons of novelty and retro kitsch appeal. Real pastel sands castles, sand dollar ornaments, pucca shell necklaces, license plates with your name on it, horseshoe twisty puzzles, water wienies, Hummels — they have it all. FYI they were named by the founders mother or wife back in the 50s and stuck w the name.
