Just pushed a new update to the Function Playground app! I added a super simple moving average filter for functions, plus start and end values for blend operations. Small changes, but hopefully useful ones 😄

Function Playground 1.10 is out!
This one’s all about smoother previews and faster exports. Real-time feedback helps during heavier operations, and STL exports are now binary—smaller files, quicker downloads, better memory use.
Still runs fully in the browser, just leaner and snappier.

New in Function Playground: two new noise sources to spark your surface design experiments 🎉
Noise: blocky to detailed, with control over resolution and smoothing
Perlin Noise: smooth, organic textures perfect for natural-looking shapes
Both are great tools for adding life and variation to your 3D forms.

Version 1.8 of Function Playground is out! 🎉 I’ve added support for quadratic and cubic Bézier curves – and yes, they’re fully interactive. Great for shaping your models just the way you want. And when combined with triangle or sawtooth functions, you can even create rich patterns.

Just released a UI update for the Function Playground!
The editor for cell properties and main settings now opens as a page, replacing the function grid. This makes it much easier to fine-tune parameters and see changes instantly in the preview. Hope it makes your explorations smoother!
I’ve just added a blend operator to the Function Playground! With this new feature, it’s now much easier to blend one function into another, or create smooth fade-ins and fade-outs. While similar results are possible with regular function blocks, the blend operator is more streamlined and gives a helpful visual preview of the curve.
Hope you enjoy exploring it!
I’m excited to share that I’ve just released version 1.4 of my Function Playground app! This update brings new output factors, offsets, and operators—plus, you can now preview the curve for each cell. I hope you enjoy exploring the new features!
Just launched the first version of Function Playground! It’s a free little tool that lets you play with complex functions to create cylindrical 3D shapes—perfect for vases and similar forms. Everything runs locally in your browser, no install needed.
Docs and a quick tutorial are on the way!
