A pretty sunset sky tonight. I was a little late with the camera, the pinks were much brighter 30 seconds earlier. But it is still a pretty mix of sunset pastels and dark clouds.

This photo doesn’t do it justice, but there was a huge, sprawling storm cloud east of my location this evening, with alerts going off every few minutes. I assume this was the system causing those alerts. The cloud was huge, with an enormous almost perfect circular base. It looked like a UFO, but also quite delicate and pretty.

(I was stopped at a light when I took this picture, no dangerous driving for me)

Covered up my little garden bed in anticipation of possible bad weather this evening. Forecasts ranged from “partly cloudy with a little wind” to “damaging hail and maybe a tornado”. Very helpful forecast. 🤔🙄
