Beim morgendlichen Blättern in der Timeline ist mir gerade ein Artikel zu Spotify und deren (nicht)Vergütung begegnet.
Aber mehr noch als der Artikel hat mich die Illustration, mit der er bebildert war, angesprochen.
Eine kurze DuckDuckGo Suche später habe ich die mutmaßliche Urheberin gefunden: Sarah Lawrence, eine Designerin aus Atlanta/US, die das Motiv bereits 2016 geschaffen hat und auf Ihrer Website schreibt:
Every freelancer knows this struggle – "I can't pay you, but I can offer you plenty of exposure when this thing launches!" – this is a lie, meant to take advantage of struggling artists. I got so fed up with this concept that I wondered... what if you could pay in Exposure? With Exposure Bucks?
This design immediately went viral once released and sold out at Cotton Bureau. Ironically, it resonated so well with the creative community that it gets posted without permission about once a week since 2016.
