Sorting old emails and found this one from a time when I reached out to magazine editors to sell stock images and articles.

The editor of this now-defunct Canadian magazine replied to me:

''We do not pay for articles or photographs – we provide publicity and drive traffic to the photographer’s sites.''

That magazine no longer exists.
