Linux gaming / Steam Play / to cut the FUD: Proton won't make fewer Linux supported games to happen, in the long term it's the opposite.

Proton will encourage the use of Vulkan and Opengl over direct3d, since the former two work much better through Wine / Proton.

Devs are able to now see "oh, look how many Linux sales for this and that Spydows-only game. Let's implement native Linux ports in future."
