If you’re into open source, you’re probably aware of the different kinds of free, thanks to the expressions “Free as in beer” and “Free as in speech”. If you’ve dealt with some particular open source codebases, you’ve probably also internalized a third kind of free: Free as in mattress.
The "free" in free software is (deliberately) ambiguous, a bit of wordplay that sometimes misleads people into thinking it means "#FreeAsInBeer" when really it means "#FreeAsInSpeech" (in Romance languages, these distinctions are captured by translating "free" as "libre" rather than "gratis").

Now, whether something that doesn't *sell* anything (only offers #freeAsInFreedom stuff for #freeAsInBeer) should be called a "store" of any kind, I'm unsure. 🤷
