And finally, after our own two dogs and +1 foster Enzo, we have +2 foster Domingo. As my wife says, dogs everywhere.

Domingo also came to the shelter feral and scared. It took a lot of work to get him to trust-- and this work is not "training", but a very personal connection. So when he became at risk at the shelter, I brought him home as a foster.

This is foster Enzo. He was brought feral to the shelter in an adjoining county. I met him by chance at a boarding facility where he had been transferred. He was typical of the dogs I work with, still very scared and wary of humans, unlikely to be adopted successfully. I decided to work with him on the side, one thing led to another, and here he is now. His story is at https://edhaswell.com/adopt-enzo #DogsOfMastodon #FormerlyFeralDogs #AdoptableDogs #Tucson

This is Bisou. She came to the shelter a scared feral stray. A couple of months later I took her home as a foster. She's been with us for almost six years now. Her story is here: https://edhaswell.com/bisou-runs-away

Bisou Runs Away – Ed Haswell

Foster Domingo came from a program for scared and poorly socialized dogs at the shelter where I volunteer. He has clearly never lived in a home before and rarely moves from his safe spots once settled into one. He was terrified of the TV. Yet he seems very comfortable on our bed. #DogsOfMastodon #FormerlyFeralDogs
