In the last talk at #LAC25 Fons Adriaensen presents a new version of his #autotune effect Zita-at2, which will probably be implemented as #LV2plugin by @x42 soon...

At least I'd appreciate that and play with the improvements regarding #formants preservation compared to Zita-at1 already available in the #x42-plugins suite (https://x42-plugins.com/x42/), which I used in this song:

Apparently, Fons also seems to be less thrilled about the heavy use of this effect on #ContemporaryMusic and enjoys to exaggerate its use in a rather sarcastical manner just like me supporting the message of the #Influenca lyrics.

@vampirdaddy @swan_tower It's the same with the #recorder. Two is terrible, unless the players are really very good and can match pitch perfectly. But three or more are usually fine if the players are just moderately competent. In this case, the large number create so many constantly changing interferences that it becomes very pleasing. Having read a bit about the #matryomin (single-antenna #theremin inside a matryoshka doll, a commercial product), this choir may actually play some characteristic #formants in addition to the base pitches to simulate human voices.
Formants in music production refer to frequency ranges or resonances that give a particular sound its characteristic tone or color. They play a crucial role in shaping vocal sounds and creating unique timbres and textures in instrument sounds. #musicproduction #formants
