Referring to me as "it" because I point out that you're mansplaining is a dehumanisation tactic.

Using "it" to describe an Aboriginal person is anti-Indigenous, and especially gross to describe a queer and trans Aboriginal person.

Dehumanising people who have less socio-political power than you is toxic and a further extension of your oppressive behaviour.

Talking about how you "hope it gets the help it so desperately needs" is ableist sealioning.

Imagine someone sitting on the bus telling their friend about how they're allergic to peanuts.

Wouldn't it be weird if you just stepped into that conversation with "actually, a lot of people are allergic to bananas, you know. Not every allergy is peanuts!"

Kind of a silly response to a conversation about peanut allergies, yeah?
