Let me explain. I'm am a birth frugalista. Especially when I shop for food. I will find the deals, the clearance or the low cost substitute.

I can be in checkout. I'll hear comments like "I didn't see that!" or "All that for how much?" I'm paying cash money.

I still can get the stink-eye because somebody feels I shouldn't have marked down steak.

Mastered the dry mix cream of ... soup. I also have experimented with roux type of cream of mushroom soup.

Much better than the canned stuff. This isn't just about the jerk spouting or being unconscious of where he worked.

It is also about policing and hating people for their ability to access food. Who has the right to the good stuff? The judging a broke/poor person for buying a birthday cake.

And yeah, people will look at your purchases and judge you.
