Cinquecentodieci bovini da latte messi in salvo uno a uno mentre le fiamme divoravano parte della struttura. È accaduto nella serata di giovedì a Cascina Rancate, nel territorio di San Giuliano Milanese, dove un vasto incendio ha colpito un’ala dell’azienda agricola estesa per circa 1.500 metri quadrati. L’allarme è scattato in serata e i vigili del fuoco hanno concentrato le prime operazioni proprio sulla messa in sicurezza degli animali presenti nella stalla. Tutti i 510 capi sono stati evacuati senza conseguenze.
Solo successivamente le squadre intervenute hanno potuto dedicarsi allo spegnimento del rogo, che ha interessato in particolare l’area del fienile. Per tutta la notte si sono alternati sedici mezzi e circa sessanta vigili del fuoco, impegnati prima nel contenimento delle fiamme e poi nelle lunghe operazioni di bonifica e raffreddamento. Le cause dell’incendio sono ancora in fase di accertamento. Secondo le prime informazioni, il rogo si sarebbe sviluppato durante la breve ma intensa ondata di maltempo che nella serata di giovedì ha interessato diverse zone della Città metropolitana di Milano. Anche nella mattinata successiva alcune squadre sono rimaste sul posto per completare le operazioni di spegnimento e mettere in sicurezza l’area interessata dall’incendio.

Five hundred and ten dairy cattle were saved one by one while flames devoured part of the structure. It happened on Thursday evening in Cascina Rancate, in the territory of San Giuliano Milanese, where a vast fire struck a wing of the farm covering approximately 1,500 square meters. The alarm was triggered in the evening and firefighters concentrated their initial operations on securing the animals in the barn. All 510 animals were evacuated without consequences.
Only later were the teams that intervened able to dedicate themselves to extinguishing the fire, which particularly affected the barn area. Sixteen vehicles and approximately sixty firefighters took turns throughout the night, initially in containing the flames and then in the long operations of remediation and cooling. The causes of the fire are still under investigation. According to initial information, the fire developed during the short but intense storm front that struck several areas of the Metropolitan City of Milan on Thursday evening. Some teams also remained on site in the following morning to complete the extinguishing operations and secure the area affected by the fire.
