Nachdem frame.work kürzlich neue Modelle vorgestellte, hat mich interessiert was iFixit ansonsten noch als sehr gut reparierbar einstuft. Ich war überrascht, wie viele Anbieter (Lenovo, HP, Dell..) Modelle mit sehr guter Reparierbarkeit anbieten:

Yay! The shifty 3rd party adapter I bought to convert Apple’s silly proprietary connector for SSDs seems to be working. Reinstalling the system on a Samsung EVO990 drive now. 128GB to 1TB just like that.

Once the system is installed I can get BlackMagic disk tester and see what kind of performance upgrade we’ve bagged. The stock SSD could pull about 600MB read and write. Depending on whether this system is PCIe 2.0 or 3.0, we could get four times that or better. The drive itself is PCIe 5.0 so it’s not gonna run hot or be stressed by this old Air.

Saved $100 on a new #scuba tank pressure gauge by replacing a teeny-tiny little o-ring. It's the cutest little o-ring you've ever seen.

When I bought an assortment of scuba o-rings, I was like, what are these itty-bitty little o-rings for and today I learned they're for the swivel pin on a pressure gauge. Yes, there are youtube videos on it.
