Musical Interlude: OK, let's get something energetic to motivate us for the week ahead. Here's a big of...well, one doesn't say the G-word anymore, but I guess it could be termed Romany Rock?

Musical Interlude: Listening to a little Fishtank while I relax...lawdy, I wish I hadn't missed their one DC show....But oh well, their music is still fun.

Musical Interlude: I've written before of my regret in missing my one chance of seeing Fishtank live, so I won't go into it again...but dang, their sound! Combining Eastern Europe with Japan, it's a strange mix but I love it. I defy anyone to listen to this without at least feeling an urge to clap.
"Hopa di Bada," performed by Fishtank. (I have no idea what it means.)

Musical Interlude: Fishtank Ensemble is one of my great musical whiffs. They had a rare East Coast date long ago in DC, before I moved away, and I had a chance to go...but I was tired, and thought, meh, they'll be around again.
OF COURSE, they never did come again, and now they are no more. I kick myself for not taking the opportunity when I could. They were a great world-music band, with Eastern European stylings mixed with Japanese instruments and theremin. Wild stuff.
