Living back home in Scotland I've been visiting local haunts I hadn't seen for 20 years and have been pleasantly reassured to find the majority as vibrant and welcoming as I remember. There is little evidence of the level of decay prevalent elsewhere in the UK.
Here's Arbroath Harbour snapped on a quick visit last week. Still working. Still fishing.
Still that wonderful smell of slowly smoking haddock hanging in the air.

🚨Hey, #oceans #oceansHSTM peeps!🚨
New, very #interdisciplinary project looking for researchers in #architecture , #biology , #oceanography , #FishingHistory , & related fields "willing to mix theory & practice in a critical & imaginative way."
Nice to see a project that wants both scientists *and* historians (& architects)!
