Useless trivia: A common translation of the poem title "Invictus" is "unWordled", but the etymology of today's actually stems from the Latin verb for "to tame/subdue". "Victus" is much more military (conquered), which is very Roman (and American). 😅

Love my first graders. Today I was talking to the kids about winter and reminded them about the freezing weather at Christmas. One little girl, who cracks me up on a daily basis, said, “It was cold ‘cause Santa’s sleigh was comin’ in hot!”😂 #teacherlife #teaching #firstgradelife

I got out of pajamas this morning and put on my daytime pajamas. I didn’t get a lot done around the house, but we played Jackbox games with our nephew, and I found several free downloadable math resources for my firsties.
