#Fedimusicians Super new to the fediverse but super excited. I have a project that I worked on on the other internet. It has always been under an alias, but breathing the fresh air here made me wonder if I should carry it into the fediverse under my actual name rather than sticking with the alias. Are both equally accepted around here? Also would it be considered ok to reupload all old content here (YouTube > peertube). I’m still not sure if I will 1) keep uploading to YouTube, 2) leave old content on YouTube alone and only upload new content to peertube or 3) take all content down from YouTube and switch entirely to peertube.

I suppose there are no right or wrong necessarily, but would really appreciate hearing people’s thoughts on all this, especially first hand’s experience from people that made the transition themselves.
