August 2025, I attended #FediCon and gave a talk.

My FediCon 2026 talk will be about Loops.

See, back in Aug 2025, Loops was a mvp that didn't federate and wasn't open source.

After I got back from FediCon, I started building a proper webUI and backend, and later a new and much better mobile app.

Then in October, we added federation support. November brought Duets, Playlists, Pinned Videos.

December, I shipped the For You algorithm

FediCon 2026 will be part of FOSSY.

We are still trying to figure out the exact days for FediCon @ FOSSY. But, it will be 2 of the days between August 6th and 9th.

We are also planning to do a joint session between FediCon @ FOSSY in Vancouver with the Fediverse & Social Web track at COSCUP in Taiwan.

I have to make sure I'm there this year, so I want to make sure I can start scheduling things as early as possible. 😁

#FediForum2026 is coming up in April, 28th - 30th. If you don't know what #FediForum is, it's an online #unconference where we all get together, talk about what projects folks are working on, meet each other, etc. I've been to two of them last year and I've met so many fantastic folks there.

What other #conference are people going to that is related to the #Fediverse ?

I know #Fedicon is sometime later this year. I've already missed #FOSDEM but that'll come around again, next February I think?
