@Stoori #FediWishlist "Edit as new toot"
This is probably a very fringe feature, but it would save me a copy&paste and the possible errors arising from that!
I replied to a followers-only post with an unlisted (publicly visible) one, because it made sense both within and without the context of the conversation and I wanted to share it with more people.
But since fedi software often inherits the privacy setting from a post to its replies, I could accidentally trick the poster to continue the thread with a higher visibility.
Maybe software could warn about such situations? #FediWishlist
#FediWishlist: a "boosts okay" / "boosts not okay" flag on each post.
I've asked for this before, but I would like to add that the flag should be EDITABLE. I would like to discourage people from boosting a post once it has reached enough people.
#Wishlist item for #Mastodon and #Fediverse instance listing sites: Allow filtering on #Tor usage support. A lot of sites for some incomprehensible reason just #e403 everything instead.
Well excuse me if I don't expect you to be able nor willing to defend my #privacy at all cost (nor should I expect that out of someone) and so take precautions to protect myself on my own.
@Anke @corvidae I know about this and would be in favour of unifying CWs and filters. The way it is now, when a CW'd post matches my filter, I have to click two separate UI elements to see the body of the message.
It could be simplified to something like this:
"CW: I ramble about some bad things. Filtered: bad things. [Show more]"
"This fedi account is famous (1000+ followers). It is highly unlikely that your reply will be original, that your interaction will meet a response, let alone that you will make a new friend here. Hide posts from this account?"
