@ami_angelwings well of course, Indy
I realize I don't actually have a lot of favourite characters in I. So I'm going to go VERY niche and indie, and pick for my #FavCharacterI:
Ichiko Izumiya from the manga and film Love My Life which I HIGHLY recommend people read and watch, it's a beautiful exploration of queerness, gender, and the complexities of love, being the closet, coming out and the messiness of it all. And Ichiko is the sweet, innocent & introspective centre of it all - through her eyes as she copes with her own coming out and then the coming out of her dad (who is also gay) and finding out her late mom was also gay, meeting their partners, dealing with jealousy and longing, talking about gender identity with her girlfriend.
The Manga is more introspective than the film, but both are beautiful
@ami_angelwings Izuru, the protagonist of Majestic Prince. He's a massive dork but he has a kind heart.
@ami_angelwings Though there are a lot of great characters to choose from, I choose Ibuki from Street Fighter 3.
She has a fun fighting style that give a player a lot of options.
I'm fairly simple, most my answers will probably be fighting game characters.
@ami_angelwings unironically, Izuku Midoriya is my #FavCharacterI
I love a shonen protagonist defined by a very fundamental sense of empathy that fights because he knows what it's like to be weak, or scared, or afraid, and he recognizes that he has been given the privilege of strength to affect that change. He's still fundamentally that same weak, scared person at his core, and his growth through that didn't have him lose touch with that part of himself that his empathy stems from.
He's a really successful deconstruction of the "power scaling" focused shine protagonist to me, he's not fighting to surpass his own strength, but because his initial lack of it gave him perspective. I think that's really powerful
@ami_angelwings I really like Iggy from #JoJosBizarreAdenture a lot.
He seems to be a very bad dog, but in the end he truly proves to be a hero!
