I have just learned thanks to James O'Brien on #LBC that the trade deal with India, with respect to the National Insurance arrangements, is exactly the same as the existing arrangements with various other countries including the whole of the EU, Norway, South Korea, etc.

In other words, Nigel Farage was once again spouting nonsense about us being flooded with Indian workers on the cheap. Anyone would think he was racist, or didn't like people of a certain colour.

The fact that so many people are so stupid totally destroys my faith in humanity and basic common sense.

The people who voted for Brexit because Farage told them it was going to solve all their problems have now voted for Farage because he told them it was a good idea and would solve all their problems. How stupid is it possible to be? Wasn't the clear evidence that Brexit was an effing stupid idea enough to put people off Farage, permanently?

I'm despairing and angry in equal measure.
