In order to watch all 4 Doctor Who specials, we treated ourselves to a 1 month Disney+ subscription over the holidays.

As I was perusing the limited kdrama section I came across #FamilyTheUnbreakableBond.

I have seen all 4 of their collaborations and ML #JangHyuk and FL #JangNaRa are one of my top 3 romantic pairings for a drama. I was so happy to finally get to see this 2023 drama but..... even their great chemistry could not save this show.

Short synopsis which in theory could have been great: hubby secretly works for the NIS, loves his wife & child, his dad & brother but oops, the wife may also have a secret.

Then it gets ruined by unfinished side storylines, unanswered questions, some "why did they do that" and "that is so random" moments. And an ending which led me to think "huh, now what?"

It was short at 12 episodes and really it could have been a full 16 had things been fleshed out alot more and loose ends tidied up into pretty bows.

Opinion: you cannot get emotionally invested in this drama, it is too short and too simple. BUT, if that is what you need then it would be a good choice 😉

Day 17: Favourite actor

Of 2023 dramas, I am giving a huge thumbs up to #JungKyungHo in #CrashCourseInRomance. In the drama he was an asshat, a bumbling idiot, a know-it-all, a romantic sap and a knight in shining armour. 👏

Overall and in order, faves are:
#JangHyuk who I have yet to see in 2023s #FamilyTheUnbreakableBond but I would watch him watching paint dry.
#ParkHaeJin. 2023's #KillingVote was not his best work but I am shallow and he is pretty to look at. 😉
