Two frosty nights down to about 35F/2C and the garden in hanging in there. These temps are 4-6 weeks early and shouldn't last too long.
#Raspberries still berrying, but growing golden canes show dieback. #Nasturtiums clearly look like I need to make more pesto. #ShellingPeas may wind up as green compost. They've not made any flowers and lower 12" are yellowing already. #FallCrops #florespondence
My second red #Raspberry plant has confirmed it is an ever-bearing variety by starting to make fruit. My first red raspberry is covered in forming berries but they are ripening at a rate of about a handful a day. #FallCrops #FruitHarvest
An example of how well my #Peas are growing. These are King Tut peas, said to be especially fond of cooler weather so the slightly chilly AM with a sunnier PM pattern starting now should be just right. #FallCrops
My Egyptian #peas have begun sprouting. I've always struggled to get peas going in spring so I figured it was time to try #FallCrops
