@NJWookie @gamingonlinux I quit Facebook years ago. This might be my 10 anniversary coming up--and it had been inactive for a couple of years before then.

Facebook is a keystroke logger, stalkerware, and a few other bad things. It's been used to incite genocide. It should be shut down and the servers crated up and shipped to Geneva so the ICC and ICJ can have a go at it.

@Free_Press Definitely get off Facebook, Instagram, etc., but if you are an active user you might want to establish a presence on one or more alternative social media spaces before you delete entirely. (Also be sure you aren't using FB to log into other sites before quitting.)

@Dawilson999 @palin @lovelylovely I did, almost ten years ago, and haven't missed it in the least.

But I will add one caveat: If you use Facebook (or Twitter, or any other social media account) to log in to other sites, you might want to disable it first--but not delete it entirely. Give it some time to discover if you need the account to sign in to something else, change those sign-ins, and delete completely later when you're sure it's safe.
