I went to search for a site where I can post content for free. I found one, all they do is put some ads and if you are as me you will have an ad block running already.

What I did not expect is a full-blown site builder with everything, including kitchen sinks, 32 channel mixing consoles, 18" subwoofers and full range speakers :)

All I need is a place where I put my markdown formatted text directly and get it published immediately.

Now I need to wade through the system to find where I can put in straight markdown text, no formatting from them , no YSWYG editor

#markdown #mastodon #richtext #formatting

#Music #Audio #Bass #Guitar #SoundEngineering #Joyo #Pedal #Console #Yamaha #Behringer #FX2000

I just ran

`wc -m ~/gate/pgm/hugo/quickstart/content/posts/fifth-post-fx2k-reportI.md`

`10034' was the output!

I just saw in this post that markdown is not officially suported on mastodon.

@stefano what is the case on this server? I have md text that I want to display with only unsorted and sorted lists and formatting of bold italic

The review on Level II has grown so much I dont even need to count the characters to know it wont fit in one post. Since I want to retain the smooth markdown formatting, I'll think of a solution (pastebin comes into mind) when I finish it

I've prepared a wonderful Main review of this unit in Mark Down and I've already run it in raw on a Local server in Hugo

I'll post the article later hopefully it fits into One post otherwise I shall cut it into Pieces

These days I work on practical use of the 19 inch rack-mount two channel effect, which showed me another vocal gem in the list, pitch corrector.

I may upload something funny & practical with it.

Testing the setup was easy, cables are tested after solderwork on proper connection.

THen all equipment used was cleaned & stored, then the cables were connected to the effect and DONE

I first needed to desolder two rihgt angle connectors from existing pedal patch cables. I replaced them with 180 degree standard connectors, since on the audio device I needed right angles at the inputs.

I also made sure the cables were of identical length so no noticable impedance difference (in dB) could occur. Since I soldered methodically the job took some time (7 connectors 1/4" including one 2 channel cable for a headphone set, which had 2 tip sleeve 1/4" connectors to test group outputs

I need to run additional dual channel audio equipment. Normally I have the patch-cables required close at hand, bought and in stock. This time I decided that even though the cable are at hand, I wanted to solder them by hand.

- Connectors needed -> in stock
- Cable needed in stock {{unbalanced {2 threads} cable}}
- I used XLR (stable) cable instead because this version does not have proper shielding for mics and drops quality using them there. Repurposed its good
- Soldering iron, ready
- Multimeter ready

However the compressor pedal I love is the JOYO AVALLON R-19 advertized for Bass / Electric Guitar but usuable on any source which needs compression. Why do I love this one? It shows you how much you compress your signal with leds! So it's full RGB led proof ;)

As you can see these pedals cost way too much if you dont need your compressor on stage under your toes. I need most of my FX in rack mount units so I have done one purchase and may only get other extra effect units if I need to controll more channels seperaterly with channel inserts. The FX2K has only two AUX send receive ports so the need for 6 different FX controlls for a drumkit eg will require 3x FX2K units to cover the drums only.
Vocals times 4 means two units more, strings and guitars means two more. So in practice I will get more FX units when the absolute need occurs, but **only** then

This compressor pedal from Universal Audio is a combp with a Limiter chained behind the compressor. The controls are familiar and it's a nice looking pedal
