#FTEdit app closure - asked FT and cancelling Apple subscription then going to FT to register a new account and then subscribe to Edit package (amongst mix of other FT news offers) is the customer path. It’s a bit shit. FT Edit was clean simple product delivered well on iPhone.
#FTEdit app is stopping. Subscribed thru Apple. As far as I can tell I need to cancel that subscription, download FT app and resubscribe directly. I can see unsubscribing but resubscribing looks like needless hassle. FT Edit did a simple thing well.

How geopolitics caught up with Canada

The country once saw itself as nearly immune from the world’s problems. But it is now immersed in stand-offs with India and China

Not impressed that the only way into #Thread/s is via Instagram accounts.

I do kinda like it here, the ‘pace’ is more acceptable to me.

Taking a wider view, I’d hoped Post might’ve progressed further by now. Micropayments for access to journalism, single article reads, is a great idea. It’s not that I don’t care for paywalled content, it’s that I’d be shelling out for access to so many publications I’d never get the value from each. Hence #FTedit works for me (& my local library network subscriptions).

Most of the ‘addressable’ audience want their social media easy. I’ve always thought specialist interests should use any & all SM platforms but use them as a hook/signpost to pull folks aside, directing them to their home space.

The “great replacement theory” contends that minorities are plotting with US Democrats to seize power by replacing the white electorate with “more obedient voters”.
