Wow. Just. Wow.
I just checked out #thread because, I mean, given the state of Twitter who wouldn't.
Turns out... ```It doesn’t look like there’s an option to switch between streams of recommended and following-only content like there is on Twitter, however, but that’s always something Meta could add later.``` said theverge (and MANY others).
Everyone is forced to see all the crap in the world in their feed.
DOA!
I'm not going to be using it much till we can filter.

@thebaldgeek
Not impressed that the only way into #Thread/s is via Instagram accounts.

I do kinda like it here, the ‘pace’ is more acceptable to me.

Taking a wider view, I’d hoped Post might’ve progressed further by now. Micropayments for access to journalism, single article reads, is a great idea. It’s not that I don’t care for paywalled content, it’s that I’d be shelling out for access to so many publications I’d never get the value from each. Hence #FTedit works for me (& my local library network subscriptions).

Most of the ‘addressable’ audience want their social media easy. I’ve always thought specialist interests should use any & all SM platforms but use them as a hook/signpost to pull folks aside, directing them to their home space.

@guardeddon I think I am past 4 months for the Post wait list, so its pretty much dead to me, I have given up ever getting into that one. (Do you think its worth signing up again with a different email for it? Perhaps my last sign up got lost....)
Treads is still dead to me this morning, the crap that is in my feed and the fact that the top shown thread is say 5 hours old, but one of the hidden comments is newer so hence it shows up again. The constant pulling down to refresh is also old.
@thebaldgeek my experience with Insta & Threads has been comical.
Post is quite missable, I haven’t logged in for weeks but I haven’t seen anything significantly ‘new’, and I mean publishers I’d be interested in.
