I got shutdown by stripe, because "crowdfunding-like endeavours are not allowed".

Checking their ToS, it seems like that is correct: https://stripe.com/en-de/legal/restricted-businesses

How do people using @Liberapay or #fosspay solve this? Just pretend a service is being offered?

@cnx @switchingsoftware @mxtthxw @FediFollows #Fosspay is clearly a better choice than #Liberapay. Avoiding #Paypal is a big plus. But I must say when we compare fosspay to liberapay, it's only sensible is consider liberapay as software (not the liberapay.com service). All the evil with liberapay is with the service, which is what #swiso shamefully endorses. Anyway, fosspay sw is still better for favoring #Swipe over #Paypal.

For our website, we only include software, that can be used by unexperienced users. "Expect to spend about an hour or two setting up everything" is out of our scope, sorry 😅 But cool nevertheless!

Concerning printer-friendly content: No, sorry, didn't have the time for it yet. But feel free to adapt the content to your needs and share it if you like 🙂
