#fglrx is even worse in my experience.

Ubuntu 14.04.5

```
sudo apt install fglrx
...
bla-bla-bla
...
Failed: unity-control-center depends on libcheese7
```
Wat?

```
sudo apt remove libcheese7
...
half of Ubuntu has been removed
...
sudo apt install fglrx-updates xubuntu-desktop
...
Success
```
Wat?

Reboot. Reboot. The screen's backlight is still dim after every reboot.

Wat?

Looks like the problem is not in the driver. I'm confused. Maybe I should try even earlier versions. #ubuntu #fglrx #radeon

I'm going to buy a new laptop but the old one (10 yo) is still working and even can run some of modern games (mostly 2d but I also play Eve Online and tried Warframe on lower than the lowest settings with 20-30fps with no luck it open areas).

So I plan on making it a system for a nephew. The problem is I still use Win7 + Ubuntu on it because there is no chance to install win10 (no efi), and newest amd driver make a display go dim after every reboot. 1/2 #ubuntu #debian #amd #fglrx

On #ubuntu 20.10 To fix libGL error: MESA-LOADER: failed to open I had to sudo ln -fs /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/dri /usr/lib/dri , did I break anything earlier with #Mesa3D and #FGLRX for #Radeon #r600 #RV730 #FirePro #V3750
