#macos has the worst screen/window management i've ever seen. Window title double click - depends on an app, maximize button - depends on an app, screen disconnected - windows remain in its virtual desktop and it doesn't move to the active screen, click on a dock button of an app that is on the disconnected screen activates it on that virtual desktop and doesn't switch to the active screen as well. And it does know the screen is off
Today I decided that I should probably upgrade my 7yo pc and give it some more ram. Somehow the modules I need almost absent in the wild. Perhaps this is a sign that I must find the maximum amount it supports, give it out to relatives and then build the new one
Today's for the first time I had no choice but to install docker. And I can tell ya #mac users are perverts
Guys at the new job said I can't use my own pc for work, so they sent me a #macbook pro because no linux as well. And now I think this was a mistake. Its keyboard layout is retarded, especially Russian. No USB-A, so I have to use adapters. And it doesn't see my kvm so I have to use a second keyboard and mouse. The ui... it contains everything I hate about Gnome. I spent so much time making it comfortable enough to work. It's not a laptop, it's a phone with keyboard
Obscure shit: the first (longer) solution is faster because the interpreter doesn't have to run gc for the orphaned node and can safely remove it when its refcounter turns 0. Moreover even linear solution may be better. #python #leetcode

#LEETCODE MOMENT
#Python optimizations moment. #leetcode
Funny, but the most comfortable interviews I ever had are not those where they check if I can implement bfs and solve #leetcode problems. They are those where people just check if I can do my job
I used to love #python . It's still fine just because it's not as wanky as ruby. But I must admit that the most python devs don't know how to use design patterns and SOLID, especially DI. This makes me upset every damn time when I have to use a new library/framework
I think this is the first time I've ever spent this much time to prepare for an interview. Only two days left and so many topics...
