Trillium was a substance that was regularly being traded in the 23rd and 24th century. In 2267, Spock posed as a trader of kevas and trillium while on Organia. (TOS: "Errand of Mercy") Later, in 2373, Arne Darvin made the same claim while aboard the USS Defiant. (DS9: "Trials and Tribble-ations") Trillium at Memory Beta, the wiki for licensed Star Trek works
Spock is less Vulcan trader and more model that posed for the cover of an NES game that the marketers thought the game was about but were way off.
Didn't Kor try to enslave a whole planet in #ErrandOfMercy? He tried to execute 200 civilians for an act of sabotage by Kirk and Spock on a weapons depot! Just dumb luck for the inhabitants that the Organians were beings of energy just masquerading as humanoid.
Odd how the show just glosses over Klingon history as if it didn't happen. ๐คจ
