A ★★★½ review of English Vinglish (2012)
OK, so of course I hated the message that this movie gives at the end. I won’t give spoilers but I think her abusive family is irredeemable. The film is still pretty good, however. The characters in the English school are likable (as are some of the other members of her family), the chemistry between hot French guy and her feels real and though it’s a simple story it doesn’t drag too much, helped of course by some nice musical interludes.
