Not if I gut you first!

Dear German influencers, don't pick English book titles of your grasp on the English language is not far reaching enough to know about the VERB "to gut" not just the NOMINAL "gut" (yes, the book is about eating healthier)

Went skiing with the fam for the weekend at Nozawa Onsen. At Iiyama Station now waiting for our Shinkansen home. I’ve witnessed a few English fails this trip, but this one might take the cake. It’s a Japanese woman’s snowboard bag. Yes I know the intention, but as a Native English speaking American in the times we are living, this would raise a few eyebrows back home. #EnglishFail

Ah darn...I have doing this wrong for (checks the year) too long. "Ex." is another abbreviation, but for the word "exercise" NOT meaning "for example" 🤦🏻‍♀️

I know I had read this and it promptly went in one ear, and out the other. I was trying to figure out i.e. vs ex. usage...turns out I am the super wrong and it is e.g. vs i.e.

I am looking into #German #medical suppliers.

The name of one supplier is a great example of Germans using #English-sounding names while being blissfully unaware of what the name means or what its cultural context is.

The supplier’s name is “ProLife”.
