New Sound Element "Stones" by Emil Richards, released on UNI Records in 1967.

Ant Peel wrote for this blog:

"...Swiftly renaming his studio entourage the Emil Richards New Sound Element with the near-identical lineup of Dave Mackay (piano), Bill Plummer (bass), Mike Craden (percussion), Joe Porcaro (drums) and Paul Beaver (Moog synthesizer, clavinet), Richards (on all mallet instruments plus synthesizer) created the stunning album, “Stones.” A preeminent statement of wild experimentalism, “Stones” bears much in common with “Psychedelic Percussion” except it had more psychedelia, even more percussion and a far scaled down degree of drum kit use...."

On the Sunny Side of the Strip is a 1960 live album by the George Shearing quintet, one of five live albums recorded by the quintet

On the Sunny Side of the Strip [Original] Review by Scott Yanow

This is one of five live George Shearing Quintet LPs whose contents were reissued as part of a Mosaic CD box set. Superior to the pianist's studio mood music albums of the period, this set is quite bop-oriented with such songs as "Jordu," "Confirmation," "Bernie's Tune" and "Joy Spring" being given the Shearing treatment. Vibraphonist Emil Richards, guitarist Toots Thielemans, bassist Al McKibbon and drummer Percy Brice complete the quintet while as usual the congas of Armando Peraza help out on a couple of Latin pieces.
