Good to know. Fingers crossed none of us have to switch servers too often.
The decentralised nature of the #fediverse is definitely more advantageous than not, so these inconveniences are definitely tolerable.
Mind you, I'm speaking as someone who does not have to rely on Mastodon for publicity or business, for whom this may be more than just inconvenient.
IMO being able to switch servers is so great, as no single overlord (e.g #ElonManChild) can hold us to ransom.

The not-so-great is the need to export and import files of following, blocks, and mutes etc. Expected these to transfer automatically but didnt seem to.
Also, my posts and replies didn't transfer. not sure if this is by-design or they will transfer subsequently. No way to export and import either. Not really bothered. I don't have a desperate need to narcissistically maintain engagement like some I could mention π #ElonManchild

Yeah it is looking that way.
The EU and UN are very concerned.
However, the US response is critical because, in my view, their democracy is only one election away from autocracy. Another right wing media monolith such as #ElonManchild's twitter might tip the scales π¬.
It goes without saying that an autocratic US would chaotically up-end the world order π¬π¬.
