In July, 75 y. ago, the 1st issue of "Atualidades Literárias" was published, periodic of the "Sociedade Livro-do-Mês", composed of #MonteiroLobato, #JorgeAmado, #RachelDeQueiroz, #JoséLinsDoRego, #EdgardCavalheiro, #LéoVaz, #MárioDaSilvaBrito, #GaleãoCoutinho, #AlmeidaSalles, #RuyBloem and #SudMenucci. Later the newspaper becomes owned by Câmara Brasileira do Livro.

On this day, in 2011, I interviewed José Aderaldo Castello, retired professor of @uspfflch and ex-director of @ieb_usp, where I was then doing my master's, investigating #EdgardCavalheiro. Six months later he passed away and, in Oct. 2021, he would be 100.

#OnThisDay in 2010 I went to Acervo de Escritores Mineiros (@escritoresmg) at Federal University of Minas Gerais (@ufmg) to see #EdgardCavalheiro letters with Henriqueta Lisboa and Murilo Rubião. Submited a project to Graduation Program at Brazilian Studies Institute (@ieb_usp) and got financial assistante for this useful field work.

On December 24, 2010 José Otávio Bertaso (1930-2011) told me about his appointment to the direction of Livraria do Globo, in the late 1940s. From Edgard Cavalheiro received, as a wedding gift, a painting by Iberê Camargo. According to him, Edgard had an exceptional art gallery.
