Pulse kicks, or: Breath locks
One faint buzz hums
out through the dark
pulse kicks hard once
breath locks in place
I know that name
electricity
W3 poetry prompt
For this week’s W3, AJ Wilson encourages us to write about a sudden or dramatic moment, like a storm, a shock, or a big realization. The poem must be 5 to 8 lines long, and nearly every word has to be only one syllable. We may use exactly one longer word, but it must appear as the very last word in the poem.
Let’s write poetry together!
When it comes to partnership, some humans can make their lives alone – it’s possible. But creatively, it’s more like painting: you can’t just use the same colours in every painting. It’s just not an option. You can’t take the same photograph every time and live with art forms with no differences.
