It drives me nuts that Easton Corbin starts his album with the lyric, "Hey Merle, did your mother cry when you left Muskogee?" It's a lazy play on words and confuses the fact that Merle Haggard was a product of the dust bowl - it was his mom and dad who had to up and leave Oklahoma and move to California!
