Was involved in the "Discovering Ireland" tour with #UCD School of Archaeology last Saturday & we visited Fore Abbey in Co. Westmeath. It is believed that the first foundations of the Abbey was established by St. Féichín around 630 AD. The buildings that remain today date to the period following the Norman invasion of Ireland.
